Sustainability & Longevity
We approach production with a focus on thoughtful quantities, durable materials, and careful craftsmanship.
Our knitwear pieces are hand-knitted or fully fashioned on machines in small and limited quantities. Rather than producing large volumes in advance, we work with pre-orders, custom orders, and selected stockists, allowing pieces to be made based on actual demand. This approach helps limit unnecessary overproduction and reduce unused stock.
Our yarns and fabrics are sourced from spinning mills, primarily in Italy and Japan, that specialize in high-quality fibres. Wherever possible, we aim to work with suppliers who operate under internationally recognized certification standards such as RWS, OEKO-TEX, or GOTS. We primarily work with natural materials including merino wool, mohair, cashmere, and cotton. Whenever possible, leftover yarns from previous productions are reintroduced into new pieces each season, allowing existing materials to remain in use.
Our ready-to-wear pieces are handmade in-studio and produced in collaboration with independent artisans and small production partners. Working at this scale allows us to maintain close oversight of materials, processes, and craftsmanship.
Garments made with quality yarns and careful construction can often be worn for many years. By focusing on durable materials, considered construction, and pieces that are not tied to short seasonal cycles, we aim to create garments that remain part of a wardrobe over time rather than being quickly replaced.
We encourage customers to care for their garments properly in order to help extend their lifespan. Each garment is accompanied by dedicated care instructions designed to support the long-term maintenance and quality of the piece.
